The Equestry
This outstanding facility is owned by Kate Selby, and is where my massage videos were shot. Kate is a phenomenal instructor (she was the American Riding Instructor Association’s Instructor of the Year in 2000). I have been riding with Kate for about 15 years, and I ALWAYS come away from my lesson feeling like I have put together another piece of the puzzle. Kate teaches dressage and jumping lessons, and has recently become a member and staff person with the Green Mountain Hounds, our local foxhunting club.
Green Mountain Hounds
This is a drag hunt, whose home is Charlotte, Vermont. I became a member in 2008. Why do I love foxhunting? It is absolutely the most fun you can have with your horse. Imagine galloping cross-country with 15 or 20 of your soon-to-be closest friends and their horses, on a crystal-clear fall day! The horses absolutely love it, too—it’s a great break in the routine for them, and they get to really be horses for the day. Check it out!
